What about normal infections? Something regular that causes blisteres everywhere, could she just have gotten unlucky enough to get it down there?
Girl in question doesn't wear underwear and wears tight jeans alot... could it be a friction rash that got infected and blistered maybe?
I'm glad my friend doesn't have Herpes, but now she's back to square one and I think she's worrying more once again not knowing what it is then before.

Thanks for the best answer yet... and the swab was done while the sore was there, and came back neg., along with a blood test, which came back neg.
2nd test was done with the sore still margionally there, came back neg., and 2nd blood test also came back neg.
So essentially each time she got both, each time they came back neg.

I am waiting for test results, but it seems I've contracted genital herpes from a previous partner, this being my first outbreak. I was given antiviral medication and a cream to apply. I followed the instructions on the box of the cream, but didn't realize that I was supposed to wear gloves or finger tip protectors. I applied the cream with my finger to my genitals approximately 2-3 times before realizing this. I washed my hands immediately after each time I applied the cream, but am wondering what the chances are that I've transmitted the virus to my fingers? I have no cuts or cuticle abrasions on my fingers. I am not having any discomfort in the genital area, so I don't think the sores are open, I think just inflamed. And if transmission is a high possibility, when will outbreaks begin on my fingers? I am VERY nervous!

i did 6 months for a gun charge and when i came home {NY} I had sex with my wife of course and right after i broke out. I believe I'm having my first herpes outbreak and its extremely uncomfortable. My doctor didn't give me any medication for it because I'm awaiting the test results to see if I do in fact have herpes.

I have both - both itchy and painful. I haven't had an outbreak for a VERY long time. I had shingles when I was 15 (a small patch on my stomach) and now it seems I might have them again. I have a small patch of liquid blisters on my very lower back (right hand side)... it accellerates faster than people say shingles does but the pain runs down my legs to my feet. This is uncommon with genetal herpes. I have heard of genetal herpes popping up around the thy and butt region. I'm a little confused. Can anyone help me out? Thank you!
